About Kiewiet de Jonge Dance

Kiewiet de Jonge Dance is a department of Kiewiet de Jonge Entertainment in conjunction with Pasadena Productions. The dance department is directed by Yolande van Kesteren, who has an impressive professional career in the world of dance, sports and teaching.

Yolande van Kesteren-Rooduijn was born in Rotterdam and stayed there during her growing years. She studied at the Havo voor Dans en Muziek and at the Dance Academy in Rotterdam. She also studied at the Academy for Kleinkunst in Amsterdam. After the Dance Academy, Yolande joined the Noes Fiolet Dance Company and performed many times for television and theatre with this company. Yolande also danced with the Rotterdam Opera and for Joop van den Ende Theatre Productions. Yolande has many years of experience in teaching. At first she taught children classical ballet and jazz ballet. She then worked for the Erasmus University as a dance teacher and sports instructor. She organized several events for the University, amongst others the great Dutch students championship in Rotterdam's Ahoy sport palace in 1990. In the early 90's Yolande stepped into the upcoming business of fitness and sports and opened her own sport studio in Noordwijk. The sport studio Moving On was well known throughout the region, due to several events organized by Yolande, for example the opening of the Beach season and the Dutch championships for Youth sport teams.

At this moment Yolande is a Yoga and Pilates instructor and personal trainer. Her love of dance always remained, so the cooperation with Jan Kiewiet de Jonge is a logical next step in her career.
